Everyone gets so passionate about it and is always there to support everyone.”

Kelsey loves watching her brother play baseball and speaks double talk with her family. She says, “It’s so fun, nobody ever knows what we’re saying!” Kelsey went through recruitment as a freshman and said about her experience so far, “My favorite thing about DG is that it’s my home away from home. I commute to KSU which made it really hard for me to meet new people. DG introduced me to my best friends, my fabulous big and my perfect twin. When I’m with my sisters, I feel at home!”

I wanted Emma as my big all along, but she tricked me during big/little week so I thought my big was someone completely different. I was so nervous for big/little reveal, but it was all worth it when I turned around to see my perfect big standing there!”

“One of my favorite most memorable moments in Delta Gamma so far was getting my big. You have been nothing but a role model and best friend to me. Even abroad you were there for me in every way possible and I am so grateful! We never have a boring conversation, which is one of the best things about our friendship! Thanks for being the best big ever!” Mikaela Gruber says about her big Carrie Chiro!

"My big is the reason why I'm a Delta Gamma today! I had no idea when I decided to go Greek that I would find someone who is so similar to me. I'm so beyond blessed to have Rachael in my life and I don't know what I would do without her now. You're my sunshine and one of the greatest people I've ever met. You deserve the world and so much more! I can't wait to be back in Kent with you to make even more memories!", says Jenna Harper about her big, Rachael Buhrow.

#WhyImGreekWednesday : Week One

Emily Komorowski

“I went Greek because I wanted to meet more people and become more involved on campus. I had a lot of friends in sororities and fraternities and got to see not only how much good the Greek community does, but also how much fun it is. I went through recruitment as a junior and honestly my only regret was not going through sooner! I’ve met some of my closest friends through Delta Gamma and it was definitely one of the best decisions I made in college!”

Bri Schubert

“I decided to go Greek to get the sisters I never had! As an only child, I never had any sisters of my own.  So, being able to join Greek life and gain over 100 new sisters was the most amazing experience ever.  I’ve made the best of friends through Greek life and I can’t wait for other girls to feel the same way I did when I joined!”

“I decided to go Greek in order to find my home away from home. Delta Gamma has truly become home to me. I can’t imagine my life without my sorority sisters!”
